SBIRT: Still Trying To Figure It Out?

Despite the long-standing mandate by the American College of Surgeons that ACS-verified trauma centers provide alcohol screening and interventions for all patients above the age of 12, actualizing an effective SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) program has been challenging for most US trauma centers. What's the Difference Between the US and UK Quizzes and Crossword Puzzles? PART 6

Alright! We promise that Part 6 of this discussion is the last, but we couldn't let the subject of American English vs. British English go without acknowledging that there are several other forms of English spoken and written throughout the world. Canada, Hong Kong, India, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand all have their own English versions, with interesting variations as well.

Nevertheless, American and British English are the most widely used, which is why TCAR Education Programs offers TCAR and PCAR courses only in these two versions. Apologies to the rest of the English-speaking world, but there's a limit to how many course and manual variations can be created and maintained.

Fun Facts

What's the Leading Cause of Motor Vehicle Crashes?

Worldwide, studies consistently show that HUMAN ERROR is the leading cause of car collisions. In the United States, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that human error is a factor in a staggering 94% of all crashes. Given this number, driverless vehicles start to sound like a pretty good idea.
